Noelia

This is my friend from Spain,her name is Noelia...We hosted her when I was 16 yrs old for a summer exchange program.I fell in love with her.She is like my sister that I never had.I lost touch with her for many years and then have had so much contact with her in the last 2 yrs and am so thankful for that.She came to the US last fall and then came and spent a few days with us after she was done with an english class in chicago.So we did what we always do is shop!! This girl loves to shop which is one reason why I love her!! I didn't want her to go back I wanted her to stay but she had to leave and I'm not sure when I will see her again.I would love to go to Spain and maybe will next year.Maybe I can make some more crafts to pay for my way! Anyway we had some fun with the MAC computer and took a picture with the Eiffel Tower in the background where we both wanted to go..If you are reading this Noelia,make cookie buy you that ring so I can come and see you get married.....

No time for blogging

I have almost no time to blog...I have a friend from Spain staying with me until Wednesday so we are going to be shopping,eating and having fun.I have to get my Christmas trees up before I leave for Haiti,which is another reason I am a busy bee..I need to be packed too...So with that said,I hope that atleast by this weekend I will be able to sit down and write something from my heart on what this trip to Haiti means to me...

Veteran's Day

Yesterday at school was Veterans Day and my father went and spoke at Noah's class! He talked about veing a veteran and then they asked him questions about it as well.Noah was really excited about this and even dressed up wearing camaflouge! He looked more like a hunter but he wanted to support his veterans.He's just the sweetest kid I have ever met!!!Anyway just another fun day for him and his Paw,and a memory made together for them both...

I came home yesterday from a bad 2 days at work and went to my email inbox and found these pics of Yalanda..she is the little 9yr old that we sponosor.She's holding our pics that we sent.Almost everytime a group goes to Haiti we will send stuff to her.The stuff is always what she needs (clothes,towels,sheets,shoes etc) I always try to throw in some extra stuff and always do a letter or card and a collection of pictures for her to look at.Isn't she gorgeous?? She is one of the most friendly girls I have ever met and the very first time I saw her in a picture I told Mark "ooh she is so pretty".Not only is she gorgeous but her personality is fun! Only 2.5 weeks left and we will be there!! So much to do and not enough time is how I am feeling right now.I am going to try the first of next week to start packing for me...and for this little girl since I've been collecting some stuff for her to take with me...

We spent a weekend a few weeks ago in Chattanoga.We went on a train ride,went to Ruby Falls,Rock City,Childrens museum,Aquarium and Lost Sea...We did alot in 2 days...but we had fun,haven't done this since the kids were younger! I love Chattanoga,if you have never been you need to go,so much to do..This is my 12 yr wedding anniversary weekend and my mom has offered to take the kids the weekend.YEAH...so we are staying in town but will be doing some Christmas shopping and just hanging out with each other which we love to do.So everyone have a great weekend...Oh yeah and guess what??? We are down to 3 weeks before we leave for Haiti,and I can't believe it!I'm so ready to go and see those girls!!!

Just wanted to show you some stuff that I have been working on the last few days....I have been BLESSED with this craft! I knew that if God really had my name on this trip then he would supply the funds and not only has he provided he's provided for my hubby to go as well..How AWESOME is that.I continue to work and make my fingers sore all for a good cause!! In 3 weeks I will be loving on 18 orphan girls!!!! I am so excited that I can't think about anything else right now,which is a problem seeing that I have alot going on!! I keep my eyes on the prize and that is Coq Chante,Haiti........

I Love this idea..take some tomato cages,wrap white christmas lights around them,drape a white sheet and let you kids go to town for the faces..then you have some ghosts to meet your trick or treaters! time is moving

I have been so busy the last week,that at times I don't think that I can stop and breathe! I have so much going on with the boys school,work,making necklaces and I had two purse parties within a few days.I am not complaing about the necklaces or the parties it is taking me to Haiti,but I feel overwhelmed and just want to take a deep breath and relax. I have to go back to work the next few days (there is no relaxing there),and then my oldest is gone to a camp for a few days with his 5th grade class,so I am hoping in the next few days I can do this..I've had a HARD week mentally as well.Somethings have come up that I don't want to discuss or think about but I know that my heart is in the right place for me.God has lifted me up out of the deep holes of dispair before and has shown me his love and that has given me hope and peace,I do not want to go there again but I have this week and can only pray that this all shall pass and I should stop worrying about the if's and what's.I should only worry about what my God thinks of my decisions, No one else !!!

My favorite Bible verse is Psalm 46:10-"Be Still and Know That I am GOD"...how appropriate it that for me right now???
